Our NEW Taos Horsehide Belt No.80 is another perfect 'Jean' belt with a vintage twist. The Taos is made from a dense and thick (10-12oz) Horween horsehide strip (the section that sits about the shell or butt of the horse hide).

Cut at a true 1-' width, embossed with a vintage embossing pattern then hand stained, oiled, antiqued and hand-buffed to give them a top shine. You just don't see belts made like this today. Each belt is truly leather art, completely handmade in our San Diego, California leather shop.

HORWEEN HORSEHIDE LEATHER 10-12oz. | Premium Belting Leather
Tanned in Chicago since 1905, Horween is a premium leather. The horsehide used in our belts come from the 'strip' section of the hide that sits directly above the 'Shell' or butt of the horse. The horizontal 'strip' runs against the natural grain and has minimal stretch, making it ideal for straps and belts. It's a full vegetable tanned leather in a stout 10-12oz. leather that is ultra strong and naturally smooth.
COLORS & ITALIAN HARDWARE
Choose from four color options, all equally nice and uniquely different. After staining, each belt is edge beveled and polished before attaching a custom made and classic octagon shaped 'Garrison' style polished solid-brass buckle (Made In Italy).
